Grass Roots of Wigan (GRoW)
Hi all, just a big thank you for your help with the green house and composting toilet (still being built). The open day was a great success, we were fortunate that Dr Sylvia Traver, Head of Horticulture at Haigh Hall was happy to cut the ribbon and stay and chat about plants with us!
We would like to invite Grass Roots of Wigan to the opening of the FAWNS Community Allotment to acknowledge the support you have given us over the last 12 months. The ceremony is at 10am on Saturday 26th July and Dr Sylvia Travers from Haigh Hall will be cutting the ribbon for us!
The FAWNS Community Allotment has taken a huge leap forward thanks to generous support from Wigan firm Murphy's who have improved drainage, access, laid a gravel surface and put in 6 raised beds for us!!!
