GRoW recently received a lovely email from one of our valued members, the Friends of Stockley Park group. The group is based in Appley Bridge, Wigan and has made many improvements over the last few years, such as installing raised beds and securing funding for equipment. Their latest project, a basketball hoop, was the subject of their pitch at our March 2026 Conversations and Cash event. Another fantastic Conversations and Cash event was held in March 2026 – our SIXTH event! It was great to see some returning members and to welcome new members too. We heard feedback from the people who had previously been granted funding at our last event — some of whom had not spent all of their money for one reason or another. Their projects, from bat talks to Halloween walks, had all benefited from the cash. We voted on what they should do with the remaining money. Funding grassroots...
