Friends of Stockley Park in Appley Bridge are looking for items to add to our play equipment box to keep the kiddies busy over the summer holidays e.g. bats, balls, frisbees, buckets and spades etc. We can collect locally. Thank you 😊

Thanks to funding from Grass Roots of Wigan we have now been able to plant up two further planters with plaques and implement a dog poo bag dispenser. This has made a huge improvement in the cleanliness and appearance of our park.

The Friends of Stockley Park are a small volunteer group who are passionate about looking after our local park in Appley Bridge. We work in partnership with Wigan Council to maintain and enhance our park, and continue to develop it to meet the needs of the community. We would like to pitch for a dog poo bag dispensers that are waterproof and vandal resistant and also poo bags to last for up to 2 years. We currently have a problem in the park with dog fouling and we feel this would encourage people to pick up after their dogs. If we get allocated enough money we would use any left over for plaques with our logo on for our planters.
